Except, it is all a scam, the World Bank has said, as the advert makes rounds on social media, part of a growing trend in which scammers use the allure of international agencies to entrap South Sudan’s jobless youth.
“The World Bank Group would like to confirm and clarify that this advertisement is a fake document and cautions the public against reading and disseminating it further. It has no involvement in any such schemes and cannot accept any responsibility for resulting losses, damage, or claims,” the World Bank has said in a statement. The scammers recently targeted the UN Mission in South Sudan.
According to the WB, it has a clear recruitment policy and any new job openings are posted on the World Bank Group official website and is open to any eligible and qualified candidates. The World Bank Group is a long-term development partner of South Sudan and has a Country Program supporting the national development priorities of the country.
